Background:
Started fishing as soon as I was out of nappies. I think that my Dad tought me how to tie on my hooks, sinkers and lures before teaching me how to tie my own shoes. This is where my passion for fishing started. Spend about 20 years chasing Yellowbelly and Murray cod in the Edward and Murray Rivers where I grew up. Personal best Murray Cod is 1 metre long.
Moved to the Sunshine Coast about 8 years ago, where I have the best of both worlds in having fresh and salt water fishing available. Started lure fishing for bream about 3 years ago and was hooked straight away. After learning the basics and finding out what lures worked for me, which included the Damiki Saemi, I decided to try my skills in bream tournaments. Even though I only brought 1 fish back to the weigh-in that first tournament, I was hooked and couldnt wait for my next tournament. Since then, I have had good results, met many friends on the circuit and increased my collection of Damiki and Pontoon21 tackle as they have now become my preferred lure of choice.
Whether it be social fishing or toughing it out in tournaments, Damiki soft plastics/ hardbodies and the Pontoon 21 range of lures are always at the top of my tackle box. They are a product that get me the results I need and strive for. I look forward to representing Damiki and Pontoon21 as a boater in the 2012 season and beyond.
Future Ambitions:
To win a Bream or Bass Pro Grand Final
To become a Top Pro in both bream and bass tournaments and be well respected by fellow anglers.
Favourite Lures:
Soft Plastics: Damiki Air Craw 2 inch in Skin Blue, Armor Shad 3 inch in Skin Blue and Gold Mix Flake.
Hard Body: Crackerjack 38's and 48's in Ghost Gill and Threadfin Shad, Crackerjack 58's in Threadfin Shad and Natural Brown. Greedy Guts 55's and 66's in Natural Brown, Carmenred and Natural Yamame.
