BACKGROUND
I started fishing on family holidays as a young bloke but lost a bit of interest as I grew older, you know surfing, girls, that sort of thing. In my early twenties I got right into land based game fishing and spent a lot of time on the rocks down around Jervis Bay. After finally achieving my goal of a marlin from the stones I progressed onto the game fishing scene catching marlin, tuna and sharks from a 5.5 metre tinny which I still enjoy on occasion to this day.

In recent years I have found myself doing a lot of inshore sport fishing for snapper and kings but even more estuary luring, which is the form of fishing I have become most passionate about. Bream comps have become an important part of my fishing life lately. Having a big bream smash your lure and have your team mate pat you on the back after netting it is a great feeling that I will never grow tired of.  The social side of fishing comps up and down the east coast with a bunch of fellow bream nuts is also a lot of fun. These comps are only getting bigger with fields of up to 70 boats the norm.

My introduction to Damiki products was through a fishing competition with my 10 year old daughter Ally. As usual, she showed her old man up and won champion female and champion junior angler. Amongst her bundle of prizes were a handful of Damiki lures, mostly Vaults and Seami 50 hard bodies. Well, dad liked the look of his daughters new lures so after a small bribe was negotiated I took them on my next fishing trip and caught a string of good bream on them, I was sold! I hope to keep achieving some good results and more importantly catching fish and having fun with Damiki lures, can't wait to get my hands on some of the new products I've heard about!
